Lorde's backstory

This was written by On when having a talk with her. So here it is now.

Lorde has a very toxic home life. His parents expect him to be a high achiever and to be great fighter. The whole family prides itself on being warriors. It's basically only path they were taught that was an acceptable job to do. However unlike Mina, Lorde was struggling to get through and by the time he was getting good it wasn't good enough. He grew darker on the inside like Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda and Mina's bullying was one of the main motivatiors of this dark side.

Eventually he met his ex, Bell, in high school. Bell was an escape from everything for him but, then his taught classism led to him offending Bell cause she was from a village. Her family did not start off being rich and now they are well off and became higher class. Bell never forget her roots. Lorde poorly apologized cause he didn't understand how what he was saying was wrong. The relationship became rocky and the sparks disappeared not just ending their romance but, their friendship too. Lorde lost his good influence and positive escape.

When Lorde did the trials for the Fae Warrior Temple to join the military,he almost failed and internalised it with Mina's comments. When Lorde is introduced to On,he becomes jealous. He believes she was simply invited in for being in the right place instead working as hard as he did. Lorde does make friends. Some do kinda praise his negative traits but, others are slowly grounding him again like Bell used to do. Lorde started to get better cause of it since his friends weren't competing with him and he liked that. His mentor tries her best and most to reprogram Lorde's toxic mindset he was taught to have by his family.

By the time Lorde meets Sally, his mentor had gotten a decent amount through to Lorde resulting in him being less mean and more open minded so he was more mature enough to be a better person towards Sally instead instantly being a jerk.

Is Lorde Beamer bad?

He's not 100% bad. He's a product of his environment and family.

Lorde being in love with Sally would actually encourage Lorde to change in healthy way. She supports him and that unconditional and genuine support was all he needed but, lacked for years growing up. If anyone could help Lorde commit to changing for the better it's Sally.

Later Lorde starts to feel the weight of his past decisions and regrets. He regrets who he became as a result of Mina's bullying. He's tired of being that person but, doesn't know how to be. Sally and his mentor are going to help him with his identity crisis.

What happened now with the relation between On and Lorde?

On had confronted him earlier about why he insists on bullying her and having this one sided rivalry and he admits that he doesn't know how to be or act with a lot of regret. On wasn't mad. She wasn't upset or angry or sad. She wasn't surprised either since she knew what it's like to have a family member that's toxic try to mold you into something. While she understands he just copes with his trauma differently she doesn't excuse it. She just listened and tried her best to show they aren't that different from each other. That they're both two lost fairies trying to figure out who they truly are and what to do with their lives. They're two sides of the same coin. Lorde is doing what he thinks he should be doing cause that's what he was told to do and be. On however threw herself into helping others and trying to be everyone's supporter that she became lost cause after a while she stopped asking what she wanted and nobody is really telling her what to be but, they leaving doors open for her. On did leave Lorde alone after he asked for some space and he was only asking for space cause now he felt guilty for being so mean to her.

Has Lorde ever celebrated his birthday?

In Lorde's family they only celebrated someone when they achieved something. Birthdays were not considered important by them. Lorde was taught that his birthday never mattered and was never really celebrated until he did good in school or in combat classes they put him in but, he struggled with both so it was a long journey for him to master anything. When Lorde and Sally had kids Lorde vowed to be better parent than his father and mother and promised himself he would celebrate his kids unconditionally.

Why do Lorde and Sally work so well together?

The reason why Lorde and Sally work so well together is cause they understand each other the most. They understand how it feels to not be the favorite and how hard it for them to be neglected by their own families. They would be better parents to their kids cause they wouldn't do the same things their parents did. They would shower their twins in unconditional love, support and attention.
