Sally lounged in her room, laid back against the couch. A book in hand. More specifically collection of local modern rewrite Fairytales of the timeless classics. Cushions behind and underneath her build the comfort she had sunk into. Fuzzy, soft and thick purple blanket draped over her.
" Swan Princess and Peacock Prince, huh?" Sally stared at the pastel artwork of two fairies. The princess dressed in feathers resembling an swan while the prince's attire had his feathers propped up. Just like the bird he was named after.
" A tale as old as time." Sally commented lifting to the next page.
The mirror on the lit up pooling ripples of flashing sparkles. Every wave faded away it's shine when they reached the frame. Stillness settled on the glass reflection smooth out. No more shimmer. Just candle light reflecting back against the clear, full surface.
"Hm?" Sally glanced at the mirror doing a double take. The mirror did nothing. She raised an eyebrow prolonging her gaze to study the object from a distance.
" That's strange. " She planted a book marker between the pages.
Echoing tap against glass traveled through the room. Faint but, persistent. It wasn't coming from the mirror. The princess shot towards the curtain covered close windows. Her fairy wings dropped to her sides as she shot forward sitting up straight.
Her eyes narrowed with a glare. " Who's there?" Sally growled.
" Sally!" A familiar but, desperate voice exclaimed.
" Lorde?" Sally tossed her book to the floor. " Lorde!" She dashed to window pulling the curtains wide open.
Lorde flapped his wings shyly scratching the back of his side then placed his hands on the window seal. Sally opened the window and reached out to hold his hand. His hands were unusually warmer. Lorde nervously grinned.
" Can I stay with you?" Lorde whispered.
" What?" Sally blinked.
Lorde cleared his throat. " Can I stay with you please?" A little louder than before but, still timid and soft.
" Of course. " Sally patted his cheek.
Lorde's eyes lit up. " Really?"
" Only if you tell me why first." Sally joked.
Lorde paused. " There's there .... A Bl- Blood Moon in my ra-ra- realm..." He stuttered. " I don't like the Blood Moon."
Lorde's hands shook at the thought of experiencing another night of that nightmare. Once every four years wasn't long enough. His skin was still tingling becoming more sensitive to everything from his clothes on his body to the breeze blowing past back in his realm. It wasn't even night yet and he could already feel that stupid moon altering his DNA.
Sally gasped. " You're shaking like a leaf." She locked eyes with her boyfriend. They were filled with terror. " Come in. Now!" Sally pulled the window open wider stepping off to the side.
Without hesitation Lorde flew in boots making contact with the floor. He reached for her blanket then threw it over his shoulders. The hyper sensitivity began numb. The flush from his face faded away. His finger tips brushed against the ends of the blanket repeatedly. His body swayed before sitting down on the opposite end to where Sally originally lounged.
" Are you okay?" Sally touched his shoulder sitting down next to him. " What's the deal with the Blood Moon?"
" Yeah. " Lorde hummed. " I'm okay. Just anxious. " He sighed. "The Blood Moon is difficult time in my realm."
" Why? I'm not trying to invalidate you but, isn't a Blood Moon red version of the solar eclipse?" Sally reconsidered her next word choice. " I mean- I'm sorry. I just don't understand."
" No. It's different. It happens once every four years... Like clockwork..." Lorde reached for her hand moving it from his shoulder to linked with his resting between. " The Blood Moon is-"
" LORDE!!! DON'T YOU DARE ABANDON US!" Deep dramatically fell out the rippling glass mirror. The mirror was gateway portal. "Oof." Deep softly exhaled face planted in the carpet.
Beck with more grace walked through the mirror stepping on over then around Deep. In his palm was two white pills and one pink pill. Without warning he forced them in his mouth and swallowed hard. Without even drinking water. He just did it raw.
" Seriously, Lorde? You runaway and hide the second we talk about Nightmare Moon preparations." Beck closed the portal then casted protection seal to lock it. Now nothing can go in or out of that mirror.
" I forget about the Moon Cycle calendar. I didn't prepare anything. It's too late for me to do supplies." Lorde hissed then sighed. " Coming here was my only shot."
" Well then. If you're not facing the Blood Moon neither are us. " Beck grabbed Deep by the upwards ponytail.
" Hey! HEY! Watch The Hair!" Deep fussed as he pulled back up on his feet. " Get your hands off my pride and joy." He slapped Beck's hand away huffing. Pouting like angry cat he dusted off his padded armored clothing with his hands.
" Agh! The moon was just starting to show up in the afternoon sky and I'm already ticklish." Deep whined ripping off his shoulder armor piece impulsively. He heaved heavily then looked down at his hand then up at his exposed fabric covered shoulder. " Great... Where is the sense?"
Beck pulled out another bottle but, instead of pills it had medication in the form of candy gummy bears. The label on the bottle stated it was for pain, headaches and relaxation. It was specifically rated as approved for use during and post Blood Moon according to the sale sticker. Beck took three gummies and inhaled them then tossed a fourth in his mouth chewing it slowly.
" That's a lot of medicine." Lorde commented.
" I have chronic headaches and migraine pain, Flight Risk. The stress of this year's blood moon is this close to exploding off my head." Beck pinched his fingers with mean glare in tightening pupils.
Sally rolled her eyes at the dramatics surrounding her. To her right is her boyfriend hugging her arm practically hiding behind her like a shield. To her left was pouting and sulking armor wrecker and a gummy bear chugging chronic pain fighter. All three fairy men were official warriors by the way.
" Lorde. Beck. Deep. What's going on? You have the count of three to tell me. " Sally said.
" Or what?" Deep sassed.
" 1. 2-" Sally counted.
" Okay! The Blood Moon is tonight. Every four years this moon drives us insane. We go crazy,an epic boost in magic, feel weird and have all our self preservation skills gone!" Deep snapped his fingers.
" Like they never existed." Beck added.
" I'm wearing wearing magic reducing arm cuffs to slow down magic leaking. Beck popping gummy bears to knock out his anxiety. Lorde is clinging to you cause your his girlfriend and he doesn't have any protection against the Blood Moon." Deep continued talking a mile per second.
Lorde snuggled more burying his face in Sally's neck innocently. Sure the effects of the Blood Moon were wearing off thanks to being in different realm but, their bodies were still holding some of extra Blood Moon magic. All that information hadn't even sunk into the Fairy Princess yet but, judging by Lord's current state he needed her focus now more than ever.
" I'm sorry. I just got scared...." Lorde whispered.
" No. It's fine. You can stay." Sally reassured Lorde petting his head. " But you two. " She turned her head to Beck and Deep. " Go run along to your own girlfriends. "
" Yes, Ma'am." Beck saluted followed by a uncontrollable giggle.
Deep tried to copy Beck's salute but, ended smacking his forehead with his metal shoulder armour. He stumbled backwards hissing at his mistake. However in attempt to clutch the bruise with his dominant hand - he only whacked himself on the same spot with metal. Again. It never occurred to him to just drop the metal piece.

Sara placed a ice pack over Deep's forehead. The piece of metal was still in his hand as if it was he was glued to it. Sara adjusted the couch pillow underneath his head. His body remained slumped against Sara's couch.
" Don't move. " Sara instructed.
" Okay." Deep gave her a double thumbs up. His wings briefly twitched against the furniture. Aurora poked them causing them to shot up tall, high and wide on reflex.
" How did you hurt your head?" Aurora asked.
" By doing this." Deep saluted hitting the pack of ice with the shoulder armour.
" Stop doing that." Sara scolded.
Aurora giggled. " Is it glued to your hand?"
Deep paused. " No..."
" Then let it go." Sara whispered in his ear.
Deep freed the object from his grasp letting it drop and roll off the couch. Aurora chased off the rolling metal catching it. She lifted it above her head like it was prize.
" Mine!" The little girl laughed then dashed to her room. The door slammed behind her then locked but,not on its own.

Beck laid his head on Lillian's lap. Fond smile fixed on his face as she stroked his hair. The medicine was working and the Blood Moon had fully wore off on him but, the gummies were making him somewhat sleepy. He closed his eyes and began humming a song. The pair were near the edge of Lillian's princess approved Queen bed.
" You're so pretty... I love you." Beck said between his humming.
Lillian blushed. " Thankyou. I love you too. What song are you humming?"
" Guess." Beck kept his eyes closed but,his smile grew bigger.
Lillian took moment listening carefully to the rhythm of her boyfriend's humming. It was steady and soft but, yet speeding up at certain pauses getting louder before dropping back something sweet and tenderly soft. It could be love song but, that seemed too obvious.
" Hint?" Lillian asked.
" Human song. Foreign to my realm." Beck said.
" 67?"
" What?" Beck lifted his head sitting up. His eyes halfway open. He raised an eyebrow.
" Does it have a number in it? Specifically 67?" Lillian expanded.
Beck blinked as if trying to remember the lyrics. He shook his head then placed it back down on her lap. " Try again. I'm not counting that as your one and only hint."
Lillian paused reconsidering her approach. She didn't know many human songs. " What genre is it?"
" I don't know actually... Redo." Beck closed his eyes.
" Okay. Final question. Is it from an Anime?" Lillian asked hopeful.
" It is actually." Beck hummed the song again.
" Is the song-"

Lorde was still snuggled up against Sally on the couch of her bedroom. They shared a blanket. All curtains were closed. The mirror was flipped over so only the back of it was facing them. Sally had her book in hand reading out loud while Lorde used her an emotional support teddy bear.
" Can you reread Sallyrella?" Lorde pouting at the fact the story they just finished was over.

Beck: sings to Lillian It is wonderful my life
Please could you kiss my name
When the music's over?
Turn off light, it was such a sweet time
Could you pray for me, my friend?
It's starting over time
Taking overnight
Taking over blue time
If you heard that screaming, shout in your mind
Taking over the shine
Taking over the shooting star
All I was talking about was music
(And that's called jazz!)
Note: Lillian is smaller than Beck. They're going be like Bella and Caesar, but it's Lillian not being dwarfism. XD
